I made history today

I voted today for a black man for the office of President of the United States! I never thought I would get the opportunity to do that in my life time. What amazes me the most about this is that my candidate's race had absolutely nothing to do with my decision.

Barack Obama is the best man for the office and I am proud to be part of his election. I never saw him as a black man running for President - I always saw him as the most inspiring candidate I have seen in my life . I am more proud to wear my "I VOTED" sticker today than ever before. I voted because I knew that this man was the right man for the office and this is the first time I can say that with full confidence. It is an even more special experience because the right man, Barack Obama, happens to be black. Wow. I voted confident that this man, this fine man, is the best man to lead this country in finding our way back to the values that made us a great country.

I VOTED and I am thrilled and hopeful for the future. I VOTED!
